I’m a Burmese-British director and Assistant Director based in London, though my path into filmmaking actually started in front of the lens. Acting in TV and film from a young age gave me a foundational respect for performance, along with a deeply personal commitment to on-set safety, but studying Film and Media in college ultimately pulled me behind the camera. While earning my BA in Film Practice at UAL, I got hands-on experience across multiple departments, leading to my final year where I took on my role as a Producer, all while continuing to balance on-screen roles.
Today, my work is split between two different but complementary mindsets. As an AD I can work across music videos, commercials, and films, I’m highly adaptable and all about logistics, with a genuine love for the structural challenge of safely bringing another director's vision to life on time, on brief, and on budget. But when I’m in the director’s chair, my focus sharply narrows into stylised, character-led gothic and horror filmmaking, where I will always choose bold visual expression over standard realism. That love for dark, atmospheric world-building bleeds into my life outside of film too. I write and release music under my own name, as well as collaborating with other artists on anything such as visuals, sonic production and distribution.
